All phone requests for referrals or repeat prescriptions must have a telehealth appointment booked. This service is only available for existing patients.

Please do not wait until the last minute to phone for these services as you may be disappointed when due to workload we are unable to provide you with an immediate appointment.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

To get a repeat prescription you must have got your original prescription from vour doctor at Hobsons Gate Medical Centre.

You must have been seen in person by your Doctor in the last 3 months. Your GP may not provide a repeat prescription if they have not seen you within the last three months.

Your Doctor will approve or decline the request on clinical grounds. If they decline the request they may request that you make a face to face appointment.

Please make sure you anticipate your need for a repeat script well in advance as last minute appointments may not be possible.

If you require your prescription to be E-scripted to a pharmacy, please ensure you provide the name and address of the pharmacy.

Your E-script will be sent to your mobile phone number listed on our database, so please ensure that you have provided the correct information.

If you want a printed paper script please advise the Doctor when you are speaking with them and you will then be required to collect it from the practice.

REFERRALS

You must have been seen in person by your Doctor in the last 6 months.

Your Doctor will approve or decline the request on clinical grounds. If they decline the request they may request that you make a face to face appointment.

Your Doctor will not provide a referral for a problem or condition that they have not examined or managed you for.
